Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-disciplinary BIM coordination across architecture, transportation, and MEP. You will drive clash detection, ensure compliance with CADD/BIM standards, and mentor staff across offices.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of Autodesk tools (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) and Bentley OpenRoads, with an emphasis on transit/multimodal projects and a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM or related field.
• Experience coordinating intelligent models on transit/m multimodal projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinates deliverables across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — runs clash detection and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentors production staff and guides junior modelers.
• Intelligent Modeling Coordinator — maintains model integrity and ensures interoperability across Autodesk and Bentley tools.
• Quality checks — verifies drawings for consistency with standards and project requirements.
