Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary intelligent models, run clash detection, and ensure model integrity across design disciplines.

You will mentor staff, develop BIM Execution Plans, and interface with clients and agencies to meet model deliverable requirements. A strong background in Autodesk/Bentley tools and design standards is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
• Develops BIM Execution Plans and advises pursuit teams on LOD and LOE.
• Performs related engineering support tasks and reviews drawings for consistency.
