Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior BIM/CADD Specialist to coordinate intelligent models across multiple design disciplines for transit and multimodal projects. You will lead clash detection and ensure federated, clash‑checked models meet project requirements.

The role requires extensive CADD/BIM expertise with Autodesk and Bentley tools, plus strong mentoring skills and the ability to work across geographies. This is a US-based position with potential travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and project demands.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection using Navisworks.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentors production staff across offices; provides design sketches.
• Interfaces with clients and subconsultants on model deliverables and data handoff.
• Performs general design support tasks and ensures document consistency.
