Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a seasoned BIM/CADD Coordinator in the United States. You will coordinate intelligent models across multiple design disciplines, run clash detection in Navisworks, and enforce CADD/BIM standards using Autodesk tools.

You will mentor staff, support field design, and ensure model integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Travel may be required to support transit/multimodal projects.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Travel may be required domestically and internationally; frequency contingent on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination of intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks to resolve conflicts early.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows across offices.
• Mentors production staff and guides design sketches for finished drawings.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure project-wide coordination and model integrity.
• Performs crosschecks of drawings for consistency and adherence to QC standards.
• Supports CADD tasks, including plotting, transmittals, file management, and specifications coordination.
• Reviews manufacturers' prints for design input and material calculations.
