Providence Community Health Centers is seeking an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician to join the primary care team in Providence, RI. You will assess behavioral health and/or substance use issues and provide brief treatment within the clinic, helping patients manage chronic conditions in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Masters or Doctorate in social work, with medical integration experience.

Qualifications

Masters or Doctorate in social work from an accredited college or university.
Ideal candidate will have experience or internship in a medical setting that supports a primary care integration model.
Commitment to working in community health with the challenges of high risk, and often uninsured and diverse patient population required.
CPR certification is required.
Experience in providing managed care patient services.
Proven writing skills to document medical record and submit documentation.
Strong/demonstrated communication skills, written and verbal, required.
Ability to multi-task, and manage concurrent situations.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Knowledge and experience in information privacy/security laws, access, and release of information.
Ability to successfully complete and pass a background check.
Access to reliable transportation.
Full-time 40-hour schedule (part-time may be available)

Responsabilités

Embedded within the primary care team to assess individuals with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues.
Provide brief treatment services within the clinical setting.
Expand the team’s ability to treat persons with chronic medical issues that are complicated by lifestyle factors.
