Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician embedded in the Primary Care team to provide rapid behavioral health assessment, triage, and brief treatment within the clinical setting.

You will conduct in-person, telephonic, or telemedicine consultations, collaborate with care teams, develop relapse prevention plans, and connect patients with community resources while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Rhode Island in good standing (LICSW/LMHC/Psychologist).
• Experience in behavioral health or medical settings; pediatric exposure preferred.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with primary care providers to recognize, treat and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.
• Triages referrals and provides brief treatment interventions or directs to appropriate resources.
• Delivers brief treatment interventions and crisis intervention when needed.
• Provides real-time consultation to patients and families about appropriate care levels.
• Engages in in-person, telephonic, or telemedicine care and coordinates with care navigators.
