Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Intake Specialist to perform clerical and intake duties for the Vocational Rehabilitation program. You will interact with individuals with disabilities, gather information, enter data, and prepare correspondence under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in a social services-related position; or One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Social Svcs Tech 2 (SST011) or equivalent position.
• Preference will be given to applicants with an Associate degree or relevant certificates.

Responsibilities

• Interact with individuals with disabilities for VR intake.
• Enter data into the client information system with accuracy.
• Prepare and send correspondence per VR policies.
• Interview individuals to obtain information and provide referral services.
• Maintain confidentiality of test results and case file information.
• Navigate communications with clients, providers, and team members.
