Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas in Garland, TX is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse (PRN) to manage admissions, handle inbound calls, and coordinate referrals with urgency in a fast-paced setting.

The RN will perform clinical assessments, assist with pre-certifications, verify insurance, and collaborate with Treatment Coordinators and other teams while delivering professional patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• Behavioral health assessment/treatment experience preferred.
• 1+ year in acute behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive referral calls and route or schedule assessments.
• Process information requests and manage external referrals.
• Complete pre-certifications as required.
• Coordinate patient admissions and communicate with physicians and departments.
• Initiate insurance verification and collaborate with the business office.
• Process Releases of Information per policy.
• Assist in obtaining medical records and documentation.
• Coordinate patient disposition and community resource planning.
• Maintain accurate logs and data reporting.
• Deliver excellent customer service and professionalism.
