Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland, via its Y-Haven program, seeks an Intake Manager to oversee intake and continuing recovery operations in a hybrid setting. This role combines direct clinical tasks (33%) with strategic supervision of three ICR Specialists and growth initiatives for outpatient services.

Responsibilities include managing insurance pre-authorizations, coordinating outreach to shelters, hospitals and social services, and ensuring accurate records in AWARDS and Clarity software.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required or current enrollment in a Master’s program.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the social service field with intake, screening, assessment, and supervision preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of issues affecting homelessness, chemical dependency, and mental illness; familiarity with housing navigation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 3 Intake/Continuing Recovery Specialists and drive KPI achievement (census 90%).
• Oversee insurance pre-authorization processes for incoming clients; ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Grow intake by recruiting from shelters, social services, hospitals, diversion centers and community programs.
