Job summary

Goodwill Gulf Coast hires an Intake Specialist to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for employees, participants, callers, and visitors. You will explain the agency's mission, services, and programs and connect individuals with appropriate internal and community resources.

The role provides intake, orientation, and administrative support across Mission Services, including Workforce Development, Education Services, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to conduct structured intake interviews and document responses.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake for services using a standardized set of questions to determine eligibility.
• Enter participant intake information and services into the program databases.
• Refer participants to relevant program staff for eligibility, enrollment, and referrals.
• Greet visitors and respond to inquiries, scheduling meetings and maintaining logs.
• Assist with administrative tasks including faxing, scanning, and document preparation.
