Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an intake and eligibility specialist to join our dynamic in-office team. This role combines intake duties (3 days) with eligibility verification (2 days) in a high-volume setting, with room for growth and incentives.

You will greet patients, collect information, verify benefits, and coordinate with providers to schedule initial visits. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in healthcare, strong communication, and proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare industry experience.
• Excellent oral, written and listening communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities in high-pressure settings.
• Proficient in Windows, Internet, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledgeable in EMR systems such as AthenaOne.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients during intake.
• Answer phone lines for patient communications.
• Collect and verify patient information including medical history and insurance details.
• Schedule initial appointments and coordinate with providers.
• Ensure all forms and documentation are completed accurately.
• Maintain patient records in AthenaOne.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth intake process.
• Perform eligibility and benefits verification on rotating basis.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
