Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a local behavioral health organization to coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients. This patient-facing administrative role connects clients, guardians, referral sources, providers, programs, and the billing department, while handling confidential information, financial documentation, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Education in health information management preferred.
• Experience with health insurance, Medicaid, billing, or eligibility verification preferred.
• Healthcare/behavioral health or medical intake experience preferred.
• Strong administrative, customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn insurance, billing and intake processes.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to multitask and handle confidential client information professionally.
• Flexible to work daytime and evening hours.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel when required and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients.
• Manage referrals and track prospective clients through entry.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, guardians, referral sources, providers, programs and billing staff.
• Collect, review and enter client registration, demographics and financial information.
• Obtain required documentation and track expiring releases of information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits online and by phone.
• Enter insurance and payer information into the EHR system accurately.
• Assist clients with Medicaid applications and communicate with Alaska DPA.
• Schedule assessments, intakes, appointments and telehealth visits.
• Scan and maintain client documentation in the EHR.
• Support QA, reporting, audits, accreditation and process improvements.
