Job summary

Bay Aging is seeking a dedicated Intake Specialist Assistant as part of the Senior Community Employment Program. The role supports the intake and case management teams and emphasizes excellent customer service and confidentiality.

You will assist with inquiries, verify client information and eligibility, and enter data into client management systems. The position also covers administrative tasks and data entry for volunteer hour tracking, with professionalism and empathy in all communications.

Qualifications

• 55 years old or older
• Unemployed
• Resident of Bay Aging service area
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Meet financial guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assist with Intake Specialist (90%) tasks and intake support
• Review incoming client inquiries; collect and verify information and eligibility
• Enter and maintain data in client management systems/databases
• Provide clear information about forms, processes, and next steps
• Support with administrative tasks, reports and follow-ups
• Handle calls, emails, and communications with professionalism and empathy
• Administrative assistance: filing, scanning, organizing intake materials
• Data Entry for MOW: track daily volunteer hours and update reports
