Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. (AAAPP) seeks an Intake Specialist to administer intake and screening instruments, contact clients for screenings, and coordinate referrals for funded programs in Pinellas and Pasco counties.

The role requires interacting with clients, scheduling screenings, and maintaining accurate data in eCIRTS, with a focus on timely, consumer-friendly service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate of Arts degree with a minimum of one year experience in casework, intake, or related human services work.
• High school diploma or GED with two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Release clients to the Lead Agency for Community Care for the Elderly (CCE), HCE, and ADI programs when funding is available.
• Accept referrals of clients over 60 from the ADRC Helpline and schedule screenings.
• Administer screenings to determine potential eligibility for Medicaid-related programs.
• Contact individuals on the APCL for annual re-screening within mandated timeframes.
• Explain Medicaid eligibility criteria to prospective applicants.
• Input client screenings into the eCIRTS database and post screening information.
• Triage referrals with Helpline and maintain productivity.
• Provide required forms including HIPAA and Social Security notices.
