University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital that serves North Texas with inpatient and outpatient services for adolescents and adults. The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person risk assessments to help physicians determine the appropriate level of care and coordinates referrals and admissions.

This role also handles verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits, maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients

Formación

• Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
• Currently licensed in Texas as LPC-Associates, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or RN.

Responsabilidades

• The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to help physicians identify the appropriate level of care for potential patients.
• The Intake Counselor is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients and coordinates the referral and intake process.
• Facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
• Responsible for verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed.
