Job summary

Marietta Springs LLC is seeking an Intake Counselor to serve as the first clinical contact for individuals entering treatment. You will conduct intake assessments, orient clients, and support early care while coordinating with clinical, medical, and program staff to ensure a smooth admission and continuity of care.

The role requires strong assessment, crisis intervention, and documentation skills, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and interdisciplinary collaboration within a behavioral health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification such as CADC/LADAC/LMSW/LPC/MHSP/LCSW preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health and clinical documentation is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client intakes and admissions procedures.
• Complete and review admission paperwork including consents, ROIs, and program documents.
• Gather and verify demographic, clinical, and referral information.
• Conduct comprehensive Intake and Bio-Psycho-Social Assessments.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions as assigned.
• Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
• Assist with AMA intervention efforts to encourage retention.
• Document in electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
