Job summary

Peachford Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Intake/Assessment Counselor to support our busy 24/7 Intake Department, assessing the needs of callers and patients with mental health or addictive disease treatment needs.

You will conduct clinical assessments, determine appropriate treatment options, ensure patients and families understand admissions and processes, and coordinate with physicians and other departments.

Qualifications

• At least one year of intake/assessment experience, preferably in a crisis environment.
• Master’s degree in counseling or a related field and license-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assess callers and patients in a 24/7 Intake Department.
• Conduct clinical assessments and determine appropriate treatment options.
• Explain admissions and treatment processes to patients and families.
• Discuss clinical issues with physicians to determine next steps.
• Collaborate with other departments to address patient needs.
