Job summary

Three Rivers Behavioral Health, a part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an intake/admissions professional to serve as the first point of contact for referrals and potential patients. You will conduct assessments, assist with admissions, and document findings to support appropriate referrals and care paths.

The role includes triage, precertification, data entry, and clinical documentation for a Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work required (or equivalent).
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with psychiatric population.
• Understanding of EMTALA guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and third-party payer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to handle interruptions, move between tasks, and stay calm in stressful situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for referral sources and potential patients to schedule assessments/admissions.
• Thoroughly assess and complete the assessment tool for all clients as required.
• Assist clients in being admitted or referred to the appropriate service or resource; document findings and recommendations.
• Triage, insurance precertification, data entry, and clinical documentation.
