Overview:

Sentara is hiring a full-time Intake Coordinator for Home Care Services in Chesapeake, VA.

This is a remote position with a quarterly onsite office meeting.

Schedule

  • 40 hrs, 9am-6pm, M-F
  • Weekend rotation to cover for Part-time/PRN employees who are unavailable

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the intake of initial patient referrals, insurance benefits verification, and coordination of new admissions for Home Care services. Also responsible for preparing documentation required for processing, billing, and initiation of care.

Education:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent (required)

Certification/Licensure:

  • None required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a healthcare setting (required)
  • Home Health experience (preferred)
