Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry experience.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree can substitute for experience.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Overview:

The Senior Patient Access Representative is a key resource for the patient registration teams. Responsibilities include registering patients in the Emergency Department and other hospital registration areas. The Team Leader also supports department leadership by serving as a registration system super-user, participating in on-call rotations, interviewing, report review, QA audits, staff mentoring and training, managing supplies, and participating in meetings. The role requires meeting specific competency standards to serve as a preceptor and provide orientation. Opportunities for promotion include roles such as Team Coordinator.

Certification/Licensure

Experience
  • At least 2 years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry experience
  • Or an associate's or bachelor's degree in lieu of two years of experience
  • Previous healthcare experience in a related area is preferred
  • Proficiency in keyboarding
