Job summary

Salt Lake Behavioral Health in Salt Lake City seeks an Intake Assessment Coordinator (RN) to join our compassionate team. The role provides comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments to support timely admission and referral decisions, serving as frontline clinical decision-maker.

You will coordinate with physicians, utilization review, business office, and external referral sources to facilitate admissions, transfers, or community referrals across all levels of care. Shift: Days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Utah State Board of Nursing license.
• 1–3 years of behavioral health/admissions experience.
• CPR certification and Handle With Care training within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments for admissions.

The Intake Assessment Coordinator (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments for individuals seeking services, ensuring timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate admission and referral decisions. Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 1 to 3 years experience in Behavioral Health and/or Admissions

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in Handle With Care within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
