Salt Lake Behavioral Health in Salt Lake City, UT, invites a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift (6am-6pm) to join our psychiatric team. The RN provides professional nursing care to psychiatric patients, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, administers medications, and supports treatment planning.

As the shift clinical leader, you will ensure patient safety and a therapeutic environment, upholding nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; Utah license required.
• CPR certification required and training in Handle With Care within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to psychiatric patients through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care and administer medications; support treatment planning.
• Serve as clinical leader on assigned shifts, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment aligned with nursing standards.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: No minimum required.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in Handle With Care within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
