Job summary

Salt Lake Behavioral Health in Salt Lake City seeks an Intake Assessment Coordinator (RN) to join our compassionate team. The role provides comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments to support timely admission and referral decisions, serving as frontline clinical decision-maker.

You will coordinate with physicians, utilization review, business office, and external referral sources to facilitate admissions, transfers, or community referrals across all levels of care. Shift: Days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Utah State Board of Nursing license.
• 1–3 years of behavioral health/admissions experience.
• CPR certification and Handle With Care training within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments for admissions.
• Act as frontline clinical decision-maker for admission/referral decisions.
• Coordinate with physicians, utilization review, business office and external referral sources to facilitate admissions, transfers or referrals across levels of care.
