Job summary

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers is seeking an Intake Admissions Coordinator to assist patients and referral sources in arranging timely access to treatment services. You will conduct pre-admission screening, collect data, and determine appropriate levels of care while maintaining compassionate patient interactions.

You will verify benefits with insurers, document everything in Salesforce, and collaborate with clinical managers to ensure smooth referrals and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy required; Google office products a plus.
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12 step programs required.
• Past experience in substance abuse treatment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and families; explain intake process and establish rapport.
• Explain levels of care offered to clients and families.
• Screen for exclusionary criteria and safety risks.
• Document intake information in Salesforce, Aura, and related systems.
• Coordinate with Charge Nurse and Medical Staff for urgent cases.
• Maintain documentation and follow-up with insurance details as needed.
