Jerry Porter Farmers Insurance in Montgomery, AL seeks a motivated insurance sales professional to prospect, cold-call, and network for auto, home, and commercial policies. You will prepare quotes, explain terms and exclusions, and obtain underwriting approvals while building community relationships and maintaining accurate client records.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a high school diploma, and prior customer service or insurance experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain necessary state insurance licenses.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in customer service, business support, or insurance preferred.
• Clear and articulate communication skills over the phone and in person.
• Comfort using computer software to manage client records and policy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, cold-call, network, and follow up on leads to generate new auto, home, and commercial property/casualty policy sales.
• Prepare insurance quotes, explain policy terms, deductibles, and exclusions, and secure underwriting approval.
• Establish strong customer and community relationships, plus follow up with customers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure a consistent customer experience.
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide available product information.
