Job summary

Harkins Builders, Inc. in Columbia, MD seeks a detail-oriented risk management professional to obtain, verify, and track COIs and insurance endorsements for trades and vendors.

You will work with project teams to enforce insurance requirements and ensure timely submission in Procore and compliance software. Responsibilities include reviewing vendor insurance against contracts, coordinating meetings with preconstruction teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or two years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to drive issues to completion.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, verify, process, track, and report COIs and endorsements.
• Review insurance requirements with project teams and ensure agreements reflect them.
• Interact professionally with internal departments and external partners.
• Enter COIs and endorsements into compliance software and Procore.
• Evaluate COIs for compliance against contracts and agreements.
• Coordinate meetings to assign insurance requirements on new projects.
• Follow up on lapse in coverage and request updates.
• Notify PMs if coverage is refused or unavailable.
• Provide updated insurance reports for job reviews.
• Ensure all vendor insurance is uploaded into systems.
• Attend corporate meetings and training; perform additional duties as needed.
