• Update patient chart records with referral information.
• Flag and fax relevant medical records.
• Contact transition coordinators with updated insurance authorization information.
• Obtain insurance prior authorizations to ensure timely service.
• Verify insurance and obtain estimates.
• Identify and report any potential compliance concerns to the sleep supervisor.
• Perform end-of-month duties including admissions statistics reports and monthly referrals research.
• Provide exceptional customer service in phone interactions and data collection for referrals.
• Serve as an information resource for services, coverage criteria, and alternatives.
• Perform office duties such as filing, maintaining white boards, and ordering office supplies.
• Act as timekeeper for the department.
