Job summary

PEMCO, a mutual insurer in the Northwest, seeks a Product Analyst to partner with Product Managers and Actuaries to analyze data and influence rate/filing decisions. You will develop analytical tools, document workflows, and support growth using quantitative and qualitative data.

The role requires a BA/BS, 1 year in P&C insurance, 3+ years in analytics, and strong Excel/PowerBI/Tableau skills, with occasional travel to Seattle HQ.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in quantitative field
• 1 year of experience in property and casualty insurance is required
• 3+ years in analytical roles pricing insurance products or similar
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience in SQL and SQL Server is required
• Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI/Tableau) preferred

• Manage expectations and communicate status
• Perform semi-complex analyses to identify trends and issues and propose improvements
• Document system workflows and business processes
• Support short- and long-term profitable growth with data-driven insights
• Prepare materials for rate and form filings
