Job summary

PEMCO, a mutual insurance company, seeks a Product Analyst to collaborate with Product Managers and Actuaries, supporting Seattle-focused initiatives while aiding cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, rate and form filings, and building analytical tools.

You will prioritize workloads, perform semi-complex analyses, document workflows, and contribute to profitable growth through quantitative insights and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• 1 year of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is required.
• 3+ years of experience in analytical roles pricing insurance products or similar work is required.
• Problem solving and strong communication skills are required.
• Experience in SQL and data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-complex analyses to evaluate performance, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Document system workflows and business processes.
• Compile and submit materials for rate and form filings.
• Build tools to create efficiencies in analyzing metrics.
• Query databases to generate scheduled and ad hoc reports and analyses.
• Assist in product and rating reviews and manage small to mid-scale projects.
