Job summary

Kin is seeking an entry-level Pricing & Risk Analyst to help identify profitable state growth and pricing opportunities. You’ll work with state managers to turn policy, quote, and claims data into practical recommendations, using AI tools like Claude Code and Databricks Genie.

This remote-first role focuses on building knowledge of insurance metrics, pricing, segmentation, and state performance. We offer strong benefits and a path to growth within Kin's Pricing and Risk Management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar tools.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and explain findings.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, conversion, and premium.
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, and distribution channels.
• Evaluate how rate changes and underwriting rules could affect growth.
• Build competitive research for state comparisons and opportunities.
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data and Claude Code to write queries.
• Validate data and AI outputs; document sources and assumptions.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk teams.
• Measure performance after pricing and product changes go live.
