Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking an Insurance Premium Payment Associate in Virginia Beach, VA. The role is full-time with a hybrid schedule, requiring 2 in-office days and a 9:00am to 6:00pm EST workday, Monday through Friday after training.

You will handle telephonic payment inquiries, collect initial and ongoing payments for insurance products, and navigate multiple computer systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Payment and/or billing experience in healthcare highly preferred.
• Experience in a call center and being detail-oriented highly preferred.
• Strong verbal skills in English required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries in a high-volume call queue environment.
• Takes both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Works with multiple computer programs simultaneously.
• Maintains high service levels while managing changing call volume demands.
