Job summary

AAA is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support Field Sales and Branch operations. The role includes assisting insureds and members, selling memberships, processing changes and renewals, and providing billing information.

Strong service skills and an active Property and Casualty license are required. Responsibilities include lead development for office agents, cross-selling opportunities, and maintaining professional relationships with management and staff.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• 1-3 years customer service preferred.
• Moderate proficiency in data entry.
• Moderate Word and Excel skills preferred.
• Advanced customer service skills preferred.
• Property and Casualty/Solicitors License required.
• Property and Casualty Insurance License valid in selling state – issued within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to members and insureds and inform about memberships and insurance.
• Assist walk-in and telephone members; sell memberships; assist with changes, renewals, billing; process payments; verify coverage; provide binders; perform admin tasks.
• Develop insurance leads for agents and life specialists.
• Communicate positively with staff; maintain good relations with management.
• Support management and sales and life agents; engage in cross-selling opportunities.
• Resolve problems using discretion; refer complex issues to higher authority when needed.
• Handle routine transactions within guidelines; manage more complex transactions as needed.
