Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join our growing team. You will keep existing bill counts and policy premiums on the books by notifying members of due premiums and assisting with payments, including setup of recurring payments.

You will perform outbound calls, review retention data, and support the sales department by routing interested members to explore new policies or term products. This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in insurance.
• Active Illinois insurance license or ability to become licensed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Mailing out reminder and lapse letters from the system.
• Meet at least 50 outbound calls per day.
• Review retention reports daily to identify priorities.
• Work through assigned tasks of unpaid accounts.
• Assist on payment line to ensure timely calls for members ready to pay.
• Handle credit card expiring tasks and EFT failed accounts.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of Affinity life and health plans offered.
• Self-motivate to meet goals and keep bill counts and premiums on the books.
