Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join our growing team. The role focuses on keeping bill counts and policy premiums current by notifying members of due payments and guiding them to the sales department for new policies or term products.

Key duties include outbound calling, processing reminders, and assisting with payments while learning Affinity life and health plans. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales.
• Experience in the insurance industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Mail reminder and lapse letters in a timely manner from the system.
• Meet at least 50 outbound calls per day.
• Review retention reports daily to identify focus areas.
• Assist with unpaid accounts through assigned tasks.
• Support on the payment line to ensure timely calls from members ready to pay.
• Handle credit card expiry tasks and EFT failed accounts.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of Affinity life and health plans offered.
• Strive to keep bill counts and premiums on the books.
