Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join our growing team in Illinois. You will help keep policy premiums current by notifying members of due payments and assisting with payments, including recurring setups.

The role emphasizes outbound calling, retention review, and knowledge of Affinity life and health plans, with licensing support provided if needed. A strong, self-motivated approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales.
• Active Illinois insurance license or the ability to become licensed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Mailing out reminder and lapse letters from the system.
• Meet at least 50 outbound calls per day.
• Review retention reports daily to identify focus areas.
• Work through assigned tasks of unpaid accounts.
• Assist on payment line to ensure timely calls for members who want to pay.
• Address credit card expiring tasks and EFT failed accounts.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of Affinity life and health plans.
• Self-motivated to meet goals and keep bill count and premium on the books.
