Job summary

Leading international law firm seeks an Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel in its Insurance Coverage Practice Group. Hybrid role across Irvine, Los Angeles, and San Francisco with strong client interaction and significant responsibility.

The position requires a JD from an ABA-accredited school, CA bar admission, and 3+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience. Westlaw and Lexis proficiency is expected to support complex policy analysis.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar in good standing (others considered for seasoned candidates).
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focused on insurance coverage matters.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and providing coverage recommendations.
• Experience drafting litigation-related documents and participating in depositions/mediations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Provide clear, actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections for litigation.
• Engage with domestic and international insurers; collaborate with partners to advance case objectives.
