Job summary

United Future, a leading international law firm, seeks an Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel in its Insurance Coverage Practice Group to handle high-value coverage disputes for domestic and international insurers. Hybrid role across Irvine, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Candidates must be bar admitted in California, with 3+ years of substantive litigation experience in insurance coverage, strong research and writing, and the ability to draft coverage opinions and negotiate resolutions.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academics.
• Active California Bar in good standing; others considered for seasoned candidates.
• Minimum 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions.
• Proven ability to draft litigation documents and provide coverage recommendations.
• Experience in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear, actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Communicate with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners to advance case objectives.
