Job summary

The City of New York, through the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), is seeking a Community Coordinator to review and process Certificates of Insurance and manage related records. Under supervision, you will interact with staff, providers, and insurance companies to ensure compliance with NYC law and DYCD policies.

Responsibilities include tracking submissions, uploading approved certificates to ECMS, reviewing mail, and providing technical support to providers on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in community work or related activity.
  • Experience in community work or related duties with a track record of collaboration.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience with at least one year in related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve Certificates of Insurance to DYCD compliance standards.
  • Follow up with staff, providers, and insurance companies on issues.
  • Submit and track Certificates to the Legal Unit and notify stakeholders.
  • Upload approved Certificates and input data into ECMS.
  • Open and review mail in the Insurance Compliance Unit.
  • Provide technical support to providers to correct non-compliant Certificates.
  • Access budget information via Passport and Contract Management System.
