Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Shared Services Operations Specialist to handle the dispositioning of insurance claim checks for our financial institution clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing of property damage claims. The role requires meeting deadlines, strong attention to detail, and sound judgment in accordance with Assurant procedures.

Occasional overtime may be required during high-volume periods such as natural disasters; duties include processing checks, posting deposits, updating

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing job requirements including processing insurance claim checks, maintenance, or research.
• May perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system
• Make appropriate updates to client database in order to meet regulatory obligation
• Manage time to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
• May work in multi-functional areas with multiple clients
• Handle other duties and projects as requested on business needs
• Maintain and update procedure knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
