Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Shared Services Operations Specialist in Springfield, OH to handle the dispositioning of insurance claim checks for our financial institution clients. The role emphasizes meeting deadlines with accuracy and consistency, with overtime possible during peak periods.

Responsibilities include processing insurance claim checks, posting deposits, updating client databases, and coordinating across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette.
• 1-year experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing job requirements including processing insurance claim checks, maintenance, or research.
• May perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system
• Make appropriate updates to client database in order to meet regulatory obligation
• Manage time to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
• May work in multi-functional areas with multiple clients
• Handle other duties and projects as requested on business needs
• Maintain and update procedure knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
