Job summary

HUB International in Chicago is seeking an account management professional to deliver exceptional client service and protection. You will maintain existing accounts, service inquiries, and support sales teams in growing the book of business.

The role requires a professional, proactive approach, strong communication, and the ability to work with carriers and underwriters to resolve issues. Compensation includes competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; AA and/or college degree preferred.
• Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Must be willing to take your requisite state insurance license examination.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and agency management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a retention rate meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Supports Sales staff in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.
• May be responsible for account rounding and development of new business as appropriate and in line with policies and procedures.
• Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues.
• May negotiate with underwriters and carriers.
• Troubleshoots claims and billing issues.
• Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.
• Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads to meet production goals.
• Identifies and follows up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
