Job summary

TQ Constructors is seeking an Insulation Lead Foreman to lead field crews in insulation installation on industrial and commercial projects. You will assist with estimating, planning and ensuring work meets project specifications while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on insulation experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and schedules. Travel to project sites and a valid driver’s license are necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on insulation experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Demonstrated crew leadership or foreman experience.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, insulation specifications and project schedules.
• Experience assisting with labor estimates, quantity takeoffs and material planning.
• Strong safety awareness, communication, organization and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train insulation crews; assign daily work, coordinate manpower and monitor productivity.
• Oversee insulation of piping, equipment, vessels, tanks and ductwork, including jacketing and vapor barriers.
• Read drawings, isometrics, specifications and insulation schedules; verify materials and workmanship.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing project estimates, field measurements and labor-hour estimates.
• Track labor hours, material usage, schedules and progress; communicate variances and potential change orders.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements; participate in job hazard analyses and inspections.
• Complete and submit built-in checklists for startup, operations, safety, quality and closeout.
• Conduct weekly project reviews with the Project Manager on safety, quality, labor, cost and schedule.
