Job summary

City of Hollywood, Florida seeks an Instrumentation Control & Electrical Manager to oversee all instrumentation, SCADA, and electrical systems for the Public Utilities-WWTP. You will supervise staff, enforce safety, and drive preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation of water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering and at least five years of SCADA experience in water/wastewater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of plant process control and data acquisition SCADA systems.
• Experience with PID, telemetry, control system instrumentation and PLC programming including iFIX and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise installation and maintenance of instrumentation, computer control and electrical systems.
• Direct preventive maintenance and manage budgets and assets.
• Consult with engineers on new construction projects and maintain records.
• Hire, discipline and promote subordinates; authorize leaves and overtime.
• Ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
