Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking an Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee the Instrumentation Division’s daily operations, including installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation, process control, and SCADA systems within the Utility Services Department.

Qualifications

• Experience with telemetry, process control, and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to design, install, repair instrumentation and SCADA networks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day to day functions of the Instrumentation Division.
• Oversees installation, testing and maintenance of instrumentation and SCADA network equipment.
• Oversees contractors performing maintenance tasks.
• Coordinates repairs of equipment; obtains cost estimates and procurement.
• Order parts, materials, tools and equipment to accomplish tasks.
• Preparing specifications for hardware selection and purchase of instrumentation and network equipment.
• Responding to emergency calls relating to system malfunctions and diagnose/resolve.
• Installs, maintains and troubleshoots network communications hardware.
• Provides training and technical support for Department employees.
