Job summary

City of Santa Rosa seeks a Water Systems Technician Manager to plan, organize, and supervise electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, PLC, and related control systems across water and wastewater facilities. The role directs technical staff, drives preventive maintenance, and ensures reliable critical infrastructure operation.

The ideal candidate will lead safety programs, collaborate with IT for security upgrades, and manage complex projects while maintaining high standards of service for the City's

Qualifications

• Six years of increasingly responsible maintenance and repair experience in water/industrial settings.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's license and ability to obtain SWRCB D3 certificate within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and review work on SCADA, PLC, and instrumentation networks.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Ensure safety compliance and training per OSHA and city policies.
• Oversee budget, purchase orders, and staff scheduling.
