Job summary

City of Hollywood, FL is seeking an Instrumentation Control & Electrical Manager to oversee the design, installation and maintenance of control systems across WWTP facilities and related infrastructure. The role requires strong technical judgment and leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, coordination with engineers, and managing staff, with an expectation to work during catastrophic events and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of plant process control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems in water/wastewater.
• Experience with PID, telemetry, DCS/PLC, radio telemetry, and GE Digital iFIX configuration and PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise installation/maintenance of instrumentation, control and electrical systems.
• Direct preventive maintenance programs and oversee asset inventory and budgets.
• Consult with engineers on new construction; maintain service/maintenance records.
• Hire, discipline and evaluate subordinates; authorize leaves/overtime.
