Job summary

Joseph Gallo Farms is seeking an E&I Technician to maintain and optimize plant equipment in a fast-paced dairy processing facility. You will diagnose electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, program sensors and PLCs, and support production with reliable, safe operations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in process manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication. This on-site role requires adherence to GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility.
• In-depth knowledge of the production plant as an asset.
• Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to support production operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Program and verify operation of level sensors.
• Program and verify operation of RTDs.
• Program and verify operation of Flow Meters.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
• Work on, troubleshoot, install and program Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Replace electrical motors.
• Trouble shoot PLCs and the programs.
• Load a PLC program into a new PLC.
• Trouble shoot electrical circuitry/MCC.
• Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
• Follow all required work safe practices (lock-out tagout, PPE).
• May be assigned other tasks in addition to E & I Technician responsibilities.
