Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Specialist to lead field installation, calibration, configuration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation for nuclear fuel manufacturing. You will plan commissioning activities, supervise technicians, and ensure safety and quality in field execution.

The role requires hands-on I&C experience (7+ years), proficiency with calibration and field devices, and ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams in a nuclear setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on I&C experience; 4-year degree not required.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on I&C experience in process, chemical, power, or nuclear facilities.
• Experience planning and leading commissioning including loop checks and system turnover.
• Expert-level ability to calibrate, configure, and troubleshoot field instrumentation.
• Experience calibrating/control valves, actuators, and positioners.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, configure, and troubleshoot field instrumentation and devices.
• Plan and execute commissioning activities and coordinate resources.
• Supervise technicians and ensure quality and safety in field work.
• Maintain documentation and compliance for instrument systems.
