Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Intern for our Life Sciences team in San Francisco, CA. You will contribute to multi-discipline designs for control systems, develop P&IDs, specify instrumentation and valves, and design PLC-based systems while gaining mentorship in a collaborative environment.

You will work with AutoCAD or Revit, pursue EIT certification if needed, and leverage strong organizational skills to support startup activities and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for control systems for processes across facilities.
• Create P&IDs and specify instrumentation and valves.
• Design PLC-based control systems and networking; program PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Provide on-site startup support and coordinate work with staff and discipline lead.
