Jacobs is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in the San Francisco or Los Angeles area. You will lead I&C engineering and design, mentor teams, and ensure project delivery meets scope, budget, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience as Control Systems Engineer.
• Experience in Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical & Lab process Instrumentation and controls.
• Knowledge of International codes like ASME BPE, Dairy, Hygienic systems.
• Knowledge of Life Science Industry Automation, DCS and PLC control systems, and development of P&ID’s, control system architectures and associated deliverables and field instrumentation.
• Must be able to travel to client’s facilities for presentations, site surveys and field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee I&C engineering and design activities for assigned projects.
• Mentor and coordinate domestic and international teams to support project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, Jacobs standards, and industry regulations.
• Develop project scopes of work, manhour estimates, I&C Execution Plans, and resource needs.
• Function as I&C lead throughout all project phases and coordinate staffing with the Department Manager.
• Perform tiered reviews of project deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Train, drive change, and implement improvements across projects.
• Collaborate with discipline leads and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
